In southern Morocco, in the argan forest, women from Berber tribes who previously suffered from gender inequality have been able to create cooperatives for extracting and marketing argan oil.

They are now economically independent and even earn more money than the men, investing their earnings in education. They have gone from being illiterate and dependent on their husbands to being educated and successful businesswomen.

I selected this wonderful oil for its moisturising power. Argan oil’s high content of essential fatty acids instantly provides the skin with maximum hydration, shine and silkiness.

Argan oil has several antioxidants including Vitamin E, but 80% of its composition is essential fatty acids such as Omega 3 or Omega 6, which human beings cannot synthesise on their own – they need to get them through their diet or, in our case, through the topical application of Soberbia Luxury.

A second and no less important benefit is the treatment of acne, blackheads and stretch marks.

This is a sublime ingredient and extremely expensive if it is pure, as of course you would expect it to be in my formula. To obtain a single litre of argan oil requires seven trees and two days of work by one person.

The argan forest is the last bastion against the process of desertification and the progression of the Sahara. The Souss-Massa region in the south of Morocco is home to the only argan forest in the world. This area, known as the Arganeraie biosphere reserve, has been declared by UNESCO as a world forest heritage site.

The argan is the only tree that goats climb up to graze on.
