In the same way that I designed the Soberbia Luxury formula without putting any limitation on the ingredients, as long as they provided different benefits for the complexion, I also wanted to add several active ingredients with the same objective, as long as they were complementary and even more so if they did something as important as tightening the skin.

That’s why I incorporated snake venom and low-molecular-weight hyaluronic acid into the formula.

Scientists realised that snake venom paralyses or numbs any muscles that have been bitten and wanted to exploit this for the world of cosmetics and beauty.

They set to work on mimicking snake venom and came up with a co-peptide (a molecule chemically constructed in a laboratory) that could slow down and partly relax the movements of the facial muscles.

Specifically, they mimicked a polypeptide found in the venom of the “Temple Viper” snake.

The continuous repetition of the same muscle movement causes and deepens expression wrinkles. The more the muscles moves, the deeper the wrinkle.

Incorporating this peptide in the Soberbia Luxury formula helps, when the cream is applied to the skin, reduce these expression wrinkles, making them shallower and less pronounced because the muscle contracts less.

To understand more about snake venom I visited Thailand, which has the best snake-venom research centres in the world. Because they have to live alongside snakes, they have had to learn how to cure themselves of their bites. I discovered that there are more than 190 species of snakes in that wonderful country and 61 of them are venomous.

Thai people always have a smile on their face!
